In many banking sectors like UMB or UBA banks, when creating an account they mostly ask for your next of king, that is someone who will succeed you in the case of Death or any other thing, which to me I think is very useful. Now our own Telecom network which is MTN- everywhere you go, has came up with this banking system called MTN mobile Money mostly known as MTN MOMO… which is available in most Africa countries such as Ghana and Cameroon and its environs..
The main aim of this Next of kin introduced by MTN is to help people, business men and women, Families as well in getting access to a fund being owned by a company head or a family head. And also to avoid or prevent fraudulent activities in many countries….
In this post I will show you how to add your next of kin to your MOMO account using your Yam phone or Your Smartphone. To start go:-
i. Dial *170# on your phone
select option 6-[My wallet] and send
next select # for more and from there select option 10-[Name & Next of kin]
NB: MTN automatically assigns your name as the next of king,so under it select 1-[change the next of king]
Enter the phone number of your new Next of Kin
Enter the first name of your new Next of Kin
Enter the Second name of your new Next of Kin
After that press 1-[Confirm] or 2 to cancel
Now enter your momo pin
Then you will get this feedback. “Your next of kin has being updated successfully. Thank you”
Now wait for an sms to come unto your phone as You have entered name with 024----------7 as your Next of kin.
Congratulations!!!You have successfully added someone to succeed you your momo account in case of death or anything…..
